Accredited one-day (6 contact hours) Oxygen Therapy Administration training covering when to give oxygen, when not to, and how to deliver it safely. Includes the benefits of oxygen therapy, indications/contraindications, risks of compressed gas, and the health & safety rules for storage and handling. Learners complete operational checks, select appropriate delivery devices, and administer oxygen using suitable flow rates with common equipment (e.g., non-rebreather mask and bag-valve-mask) in line with agreed ways of working. Assessed by practical assessment plus open and multiple-choice questioning. Suitable for qualified First Aiders/EFAW and healthcare staff where oxygen is available. Minimum age 16; max 12 learners. Certificate valid 3 years; annual refreshers recommended.
